Is he on treatment for diabetes? if so what are the drugs? it appears his present treatment is not adequate. I suggest to shift on basal insulin like injection basalog to begin with 6 units once in the morning, do sugar checkup at home daily and if not at desired level increase insulin by 2 units every alternate day. Eat something like a banana (if you are not diabetic) or any seasonal fruit or soaked almonds and a glass of water first thing in the morning (within 10 mins of waking up). Hello. The excess mucus goes from nose to throat via nasopharynx. That excess mucus production may be a sign of chronically infected sinuses. You need a clinical ent examination and if required further nasal endoscopy and ct scan of para nasal sinuses. Regards.
