I have seen the details given. Since there is no information on fasting, pp glucose, hba1c%, lipid profile, dietary pattern & extent of daily exercise, there is no way to give any suggestion. The fasting glucose mentioned is quite high. Ideally fbg should be < 100 mg to closer to it. Pp should be 150 to 170 mg & hba1c% < 7% at your age. Therefore, it is clear that your diabetes is not in proper control. This is not weight loss medicine so not advisable for weight loss get your fbs and pp sugar tests done.

Cyblex xr 60 mg is gliclazide which is a sufonylurea drug and can not and should not be replaced with metformin.

Continue with it and get screened yourself for blood sugar fasting and pp weakly. Also tell your pp levels.
