Dear Lybrate user. It is not advisable to stop the medicine you are taking all of a sudden. Instead of curing or managing your problems, it will only aggravate them. If you're not willing to continue or if you want to stop taking it please go to the Doctor Who prescribed it. He/she will gradually taper the dosage and stop it without any unwanted effects, and also replace it some other safer drug that suits you best.

It may be changed by the psychiatrist based on symptom profile. Both are good medications only. Follow your psychiatrist advise. Good luck.

We as life skills coach and counsellor can't recommend you any form of medication.
U can do much better by joining some form of yoga or relaxation and by putting more attention on your hobbies and sharing your mind out with close friends or family members.

Daxid in very high dose, kindly get a 2nd opinion from another psychiatrist and follow for 6 months at least, you might feel better as the current group of medications has none to augment depressive symptoms. All the best.

You should not discontinue this medication without the doctor's approval. Headaches are the side effects of this medication but not on withdrawal. So kindly consult your doctor. You should not take it over a long term use either. I also suggest that you attend counselling together with the medication because this is prescribed for depression. Both together will give you best results. Never self-medicate or discontinue medication on your own. If you are not satisfied with this doctor then get a s...more
