I inserted 4 tablets of misoprostol through the vagina about 45 mins ago but still feel the tablet in there any time I insert my finger in there. Does it mean I didn't insert the tablets right?

misoprost tablets take some time to dissolve ,don't keep checking the tablets ,with time they will get dissolved and absorbed

I got pregnant .i was 6 weeks pregnant so I took medical abortion. After that still 3.25*1.1 cm partial was remaining. My doc gave me me misoprostol dose and I got clots in my period later. Is it necessary to go for d$ c surgery.

If uterine cavity is not cleared with 2nd dose also (of misoprost), then d&c will be done to prevent infection.

I have used an unwanted kit which contains mifepristone 200 mg and I’ve taken 200 mcg misoprostol orally and accidentally swallowed that, So I took another 200 mcg vaginally. Will this work or will I have a mishap with aborting? I smoke and I’m on anti depressants (desveren 100)

You will abort. But you need to undergo a, repeat usg on day 14 post miso to confirm completeness of the procedure.

After used misoprostol abortion pill, something discharge from vagina, it is not like blood, not like period, it have bad smell. it is vaginal infection or not? It is my 11th day and I can go for usg at the same day ie. 11th day? Or other wish I done wait for someday or not? Please help me with proper guidance.

If you have not bleeding after your miso tablet it can not be considered complete abortion. Kindly consult a gynecologist immediately.

I have 3 year kid .my pregnancy test showed positive I don't want to get pregnant my last period date was 23/11/2016 .so I took mifepristone on 4/1/17 morning and misoprostol 400 mg on 5/1/17 morning I got little bleeding after 5 hours of misoprost till now that means till 6/11/17 afternoon 2 pm I am getting bleeding and little cramps only when I go to bath room. .usual normal periods even I need 2 pads per day at least .but now I did not get proper bleeding I am afraid please give me correct suggestion as soon as possible I am afraid.

It seems you have messed up your medical abortion. Who prescribed the pills? Did you consult a gynecologist? You have taken misoprostol 400 mcg (not mg) too early. It is better for you to get admitted in a gynec hospital for evaluation and further treatment.

My last date was feb 22. After a month on march 24th I checked and confirmed that i'm pregnant. I used unwanted kit to terminate the pregnancy. Taken mifepristone on 29th and misoprostol on 30th. And I got bleeding after 3 hours. But it is lighter than normal and bleeding is not continued after 6 hours. Means stopped. Please help me.

It's incomplete abortion. Set of 5 tablet to be taken for 3 days as written on the pack. Only one tablet of misoprostol can't cause complete abortion. Do visit local doctor.

Hi lybrate-user. The hormones can take upto 2 weeks post abortion to decline to undetectable levels. Till then the test will show positive result only. Only after 2 weeks if still positive then probably the procedure is still incomplete. To confirm, ultrasound is the best measure to assess if the abortion is complete or not.
