No it’s not ok. you are treating symptom not the cause. So she will not be cured. It will happen again. You have not mentioned the area where there is pain. Since when is she having this pain?
What r other symptoms that you r experiencing?

Were your periods absolutely normal before this. If so you need to get your TSH, CBC checked at some lab. If it’s normal then do ultrasound of abdomen.
