The swelling in dvt can take long to reduce. More important than the swelling is fact that the dvt should go away. Warfarin is good medicine for dvt but should be monitored regularly. Your doctor is treating you correctly. Don' t forget to get a colour doppler study repeated to know the current status. Don' t worry about the swelling it will go away gradually. Remember untreated dvt can be fatal.

The condition is called intermittent claudication due to obstruction of major vessel. First of all surgical intervention will be needed to relieve the block. Long term medication (blood thinning agent like warfarin) may be needed thereafter. I would be better able to help you out if you give me detail history with the reports.
Regards.

Hello,
for mechanical mitral valve replacement the recommended inr is 3. Adding low dose aspirin 75 mg or so to warfarin is another way forward, however there is a slight chance of increased bleeding, though all studies have found benefit more than the risk, particularly for your wife as she is young. Regards

With warfarin you have to monitor pt inr to adjust the dose.
With evarox no need of monitoring, it is newer medicine introduced in india and is better and safer choice for patients like you.
