Hello,
Thanks for your query on Lybrate
"As" per your clinical history is concerned please discuss with your family doctor about the nature of your disease [Type 1 and Type 2], if type 2 then you can take medication as mentioned and if type 1 then you can take insulin regularly. In any case sugar level, 312 is very high at your age and it can deteriorate your heart further.
Hope that helps

Hello, thanks for the query.
I have seen the details mentioned. It is surprising to know that if fbg & pp 100 mg & 110 mg, still the hba1c% is as high as 8.28 to 838 % because if hba1c% is 8,28 % then average blood glucose is 191 mg & if it is 8.38% then average is 194 mg. So there seems to be something wrong in this, for diagnosing t2 dm fbg has to be equal to or more than 126 mg & pp has to be 200 mg and above. Hba1c% has to be equal to or above 6.5%.
So there is a need to look at all ...more

Yes you can make it to metformin 850mg. Or if your diet is bit heavy, voglibose will help you better.

At 65 yrs, hba1c is fine, but I would recommend to bring to 7, you can start with sitagliptin 100 mg once a day, and continue metformin and voglibose. Take vitamin d3 and vitamin b12 supplements, testerone levels decreases with age, tester one caps can be taken, but under guidance of urologist or sexologist.
