I have gone through the details mentioned. However, the information is very inadequate. Because to give any opinion I need to know the TSH & T4 levels when diagnosis was made. Secondly what were the symptoms? Why was a steroid given? Because in hyperthyroidism main treatment is with antithyroid drugs like Carbamizole and Thiouracil. To control symptoms of palpitation a beta blocker is used. So I need to know why was a steroid used? Then TSH will not be show...more

It can be because of dermatitis/ eczema or allergy or dryness etc. I need details of case n preferably pics of affected area. In the meanwhile follow this
moisturize frequently.
Avoid sudden changes in temperature or humidity.
Avoid sweating or overheating.
Reduce stress.
Avoid scratchy materials, such as wool directly in contact with skin.
Avoid harsh soaps, detergents, and solvents.
Be aware of any foods that may cause an outbreak and avoid those foods.
