It is difficult to treat withdrawal symptoms, especially that of opioids, at home without a supervising doctor. But if the patient is motivated enough and has care givers at home who can keep watch on patient, track his improvement and report to the treating psychiatrist in time, treatment at home can be considered. However a detailed description and evaluation of the sort of withdrawal experienced by the patient so far is necessary.

Codeine is an opioid compound which causes feeling of wellbeing and it is responsible for corex addiction. Opioid are highly addictive substance. It lead to psychological and physical dependence on it.
