Hello-
this lidocaine comes in a liquid form. You can apply it by soaking 1-2 cotton balls (or makeup pads) and placing the cotton ball at the vaginal opening for 2-5 minutes. You can determine how much time is best for you. Some women have difficulty finding the right spot.

Hi lybrate-user,
I appreciate you seeking help. Your problems seem to be because of acidity/ gastritis resulting due to the intake of analgesics (NSAIDs) off late. You need to stay well hydrated and take analgesics exactly as advised by your doc. Also note that, we can manage pain, acidity, nausea/ vomiting etc all effectively with suitable natural medicines too, as an adjunct to the mainstream treatment of your slip disc. Advise connect with reports for further naturopathic traction. Do tak...more

Hi, hoping you can help me. I’ve been struggling with this problem for over a year. I have been experiencing penis and foreskin pain, redness, dryness and soreness. The doctor gave me an antifungal treatment to try which did not help. I was tested by a gp for a fungal infection which came back negative. I was then diagnosed with genital eczema. Moisturising helps some of the skin but not all of it. The pain & visual inflammation varies from the head of the penis to the inner and outer foreskin. I have been able to get the skin to look relatively healthy (confirmed recently by a doctor) but I still have pain and things are still dry. I’m wondering whether i’ve caused this myself. To wash i’ve been soaking myself in a jar of water. Throughout the year i’ve been using a wide variety of treatments to counteract & manage my symptoms, such as: manuka honey, colloid oat soaks, coconut oil, vaseline, emollient (e45, cetraben), baby oil, zinc oxide cream etc. I’ve stopped using everything. I read about the foreskin and understood it’s a mucus membrane with natural oils. I’ve stopped all treatment in an effort to allow the natural oils to come back. I haven’t washed my penis for 5 days now. Every morning I check to see the progress. Every morning it is the same. The skin looks reasonably healthy, but the foreskin is dry and tacky to the glans as it rolls down. I have no problems retracting my foreskin. The skin does’t feel moist, it feels dry. There is no odour. It’s as if it’s just been washed. This is my concern. After 5 days it’s as if i’ve just freshly washed. Dry and odourless. No natural oils. I am worried that I have disrupted my skin balance and removed so many of the natural oils. I am left with dryness that is causing pain. This does’t seem normal to me. Will the oils return? Is there something wrong with me? Thank you.

Hello-"phimosis" is the technical term for an un-retractable foreskin. The foreskin of the penis is not retractable in an infant or a young child. This is considered to be a normal part of development. As the child grows into puberty the foreskin naturally separates itself from the head of the penis, allowing for complete retraction. This becomes a particularly important function for the male in terms of hygiene, especially with cleaning of the penis and its head as well as in terms of sexual in...more

Sitting in a sitz bath after a bowel movement can help reduce irritation and itching. Always gently dry the anal area after the bath. You can also purchase several over-the-counter topical creams to treat anal itching. These include zinc oxide, hydrocortisone cream, or topical capsaicin cream.
