Combunex 300 Mg/800 Mg Tablet Health Feed

Asked for female, 24 years old from Mumbai

I'm a tb patient and I was initially asked to take the regular att medication. Soon, it led to extreme nausea and vomiting and caused a spike in my sgpt and sgot. I couldn't continue with the same medication and hence the medication was changed to solonex 300, moxifloxacin 400 and ethambutol 1000. Can I avoid rifampicin and pyrazinamide which were present in the previous medication as they were causing an adverse effect on me? And can I continue with the new medication as my permanent medication?

There is a way to treat drug- induced hepatitis. We should stop all att, then introduce the first- line drugs in small doses, one by one, repeating sgot/sgpt ay regular intervals. There is no need to add a second-line drug like moxifloxacin.

Hi Dr, my younger brother suffering from abdominal Koch's. He is advised to take forecox for first 2 month then Dr. change the medicine including ethambutol (450 mg) rifampicin (800 mg) and solonex (100 mg 100 mg) After 45 days of taking these three medicine. One dose of solonex is missed then what should do? We are very confused and worried about these. Please Dr. guide. Our physician is not available at this time to guide us.

If ony one dose of solonex is missed thennothing to worry.But you have not mentioned proper quantity as there is no rifampicin having 800mg or ethambotol having 450 mg

I am a 26 years old female, I am on tb medications: rifampicin, levofloxacin, ethambutol and pyrazinamide since past few days, as the medications are high doses they are causing side effects like severe vomiting, the doctor has advised to stop medication for 3 days, will skipping the dose cause my situation to convert to mdr tb? My mom is suffering from some kind of a lung disease. She gets pneumonia often. Her both lungs get collapsed and after treatment it gets better. But, it's not curable that's what her specialist doctor says. She had tb 5 years back for which she took tablets for 6 months and then it went away. Recently, she again had this infection that caused fever with difficulty in breathing. Doctor said that tb has come again, and prescribed tablets for 9 months. Culture test was negative. My mom gets hungry and did not lose weight normally. Yes, she lost some weight when she was totally sick for about 2 weeks. But prior to that she had no weight loss. We wanted to take a second opinion , there they said it's not tb. Culture tests and symptoms are negative for tb. Still, xray and ct scan results look like tb. Even the doctor is unsure and said we can wait and see. The doctor prescribed combunex for 6 months. Please help. We don't want my mom to take tb tablets if she doesn't really have tb. I guess, that tb medicines could affect her other organs if taken without having tb disease. So, I request your help and advice how do we go with this. Please let me know if you want more information about her medical records. Thanks in anticipation.

Hello sir, my age 24 and my weight is approximately 50. I have lung infection tb initially, doctor gave me akt4 after taking it for 2 weeks I developed serious jaundice and after recovery from jaundice I have been given akt3 (there are 2 tablet or capsule, I don't know if it is rifampicin, ethabutelor, isoniazid) to cure it. I want to know how should I take akt3? In prescription there is mentioned one tablet or capsule per day but chemist sellers says that I should take both tablets per day. Please advise how should I take. Read less.

I am 33 years old. Two years ago, I was treated for tuberculosis in the testicle and I took treatment for 9 months consist of ifampicin 225 mg, isoniazid 150 mg, pyrazinamide 500 mg. Since then I suffered from skin allergies (ex. Itching, acne. Etc ), acidity, bloating and allot of gases of about two years. I became allergic to milk products and some foods such as legumes and nuts. I wonder if you have a successful treatment prescription for such a situation.

it is very unlikely that allergy of drug persists for so long and even after the treatment.
proper history with detailed clinical examination will help in arriving diagnosis and correct treatment.

Hi, I am using atroiza. Being tested positive for hiv 3 weeks ago. With the address I am also given winthrop isoniazid 300. What I want to know is, what other medication can I use to prevent liver and kidney damage as I read that those medication can cause problem on the long run. I got myself centre multi vitamins and viral choice immune booster which I taken in the mornings. Is there anything else I can use to prevent the liver and kidney damage on the long run.

You have to do laboratory test every 3 to 6 months and that s enough to prevent liver and kidney damage to change medicine as early as possible.

I am a 27 year old female who had tb of lymph node in aug 2018. After completing 6 months of treatment the doctor discontinued the treatment. I felt better also. Then in dec 2019 I was diagnosed with mdr tb with resistance to rifamycin and isoniazid. I am waiting for my culture sensitivity report. The medicines prescribed are causing nausea and vomiting. if its mdr tb, treatment will be for 18-24 months based on culture reports, please undergo a first line and second line lpa also
ask the doctor for antacids and antiemetics for acidity and nausea
start high protein diet with vitamin supplementation
ensure dose is as per your weight
