Glaucoma is a disease of the eye in which fluid pressure within the eye rises; if left untreated, the patient may lose vision and even become blind. Glaucoma is relatively common, especially in older adults and can cause damage to the optic nerve if left untreated. The ophthalmologist must have examined the eye, given careful thought before prescribing the drops. If you still want a change, please consult him.

Hi,
Glaucoma needs continuous long term followup. You may need one or more eye drops added to timolol, or be prescribed a replacement for it. Any eye drop prescribed, needs to be reviewed for the required efficacy (desired result achieved in you or not) and for any unwanted side effects.
