My Son has Fever Cold and cough issue. He is 8 years old. As per the Doctor he prescribed to have ibugesic plus and Zidime50 Mg. Still he is not feeling well. Major issue right now is cough and cold. What should I do now?

Warm saline gargles 3-4 times a day for 5-7 days.in a boy of 8 years age suffering from cough and cold ibugesic plus should be avoided tab P 250 (plain paracetamol) is a better option for him. Antibiotic may be given for 5-7 days.

There are various pain killers
1.if you are diabetic then use only ultracet (tramadol+paracetamol) or combiflam twice daily for 3 days
2.if not you can take diclofenac +paracetamol twice for 3 days.

What is difference between paracetamol 650mg and combiflam 500mg. Also what is preferred for body ach and uncomfortable feeling for body.

Combiflam contains ibuprufen with paracetamol (500mg) and is likely to cause gastric irritation. Paracetamol 650 is preferred since it does not cause severe gastric problem.

Paracetamol in low dose can be taken but needs a careful supervision by the gastroenterologist as paracetamol can be harmful to liver. The cause of high bilirubin needs to be investigated first as theere are various types of bilirubin rise with different causes behind.

Ibugesic is not recommended for infant beacuse it's painkillers .give crocin drops to infant. Dose of ibugesic for infant 2.5 ml.

Ibugesic is contraindicated in Asthma or any cough and cold.
Paracetamol is a safer option for fever in such conditions.
