Hi Doctor! My MOM is Diabetic and has suffered with tuberculosis pericardial effusion and has undergone pericardial tapping process 9 times in 5 different hospitals. She has completed the course (R Cinex, Moxif 400 Mg, Colchicine, Predmet, Pregaba-M, as suggested by the doctors from 26/01/2015 to 27/07/2016. She used to have some pain left side of chest and back side of left shoulder after the surgery Pericardiosynthesis. Doctor's comforted her by saying the pain slowly gets reduced but will take time, but from last 20 days she is getting trouble regularly with some pain in left side of chest and shoulder. We consulted a chest physician and found out there still some fluid visible in the X-ray. Doctor enquired about symptoms like Cough, Breathing Problem, Digestion etc. But she is not experiencing all those symptoms but has some pain and is comfortable with daily activities like walking, household work. Doctor told us there's no need to worry if there are no symptoms, but Me and my mom are not happy with this suggestion as she is experiencing the pain daily sometimes low and sometimes medium pain. She wants to get rid of that pain completely as she is suffering since 2 years and she is fed up with it. Kindly let me know how to relieve her from this pain, I will send the latest x-ray if needed. Thank You.

Hi Doctor, I have been diagnosed with gout (also high uric acid 9.1 ) in the year 2014 from kailash hospital Noida. Doctor prescribed me to take the Zyloric Tablet for a month. After taking the medication my swelling and pain was disappeared. Almost after 6 months again I was suffered the same problem (got the pain on my Big toe on the right leg.) Later I went to Apollo Hospital Bangalore. There I have been told to control the Diet and do some Exercise and continue Zyloric. Pain killers if it is required. There I saw improvement. Afterwards I stopped taking tablets. Then again the swelling started (uric acid was (7.1). Since I am shifted to pune, I am consulting some other Dr. For the past 1 year. I am taking Febugood 80 mg and zycolchin. And ezyact 100 mg (anti-inflammatory tablet, should be on need basis) I would like to know the following 1) is there any permanent cure for Gout? 2) Do I have to suffer throughout my life by taking these medicines? 3) So far I was suffered from gout attack for 3 times. For the Last 2 months I was alright but now again I got some stiffness on my left leg toe finger. Earlier it was on the right leg toe finger side. Again I am continuing the medicine. For how long I should take. ? Is there any way I can get rid of it. 4) What will be the impact on kidney or liver? Is it an indication to some kidney or liver related problems? 5) Please tell me the precautionary steps to get rid of this. Please share your views. It would be of great help.

Colchicine, pantop and digoxin can often be stopped and used intermittently. Others must not be stopped without medical supervision. Substitutes of losar are often preferred in this problem.

Greetings, my 24 year old daughter has been suffering from chronic abdominal pain for over 6 years mainly in abdominal rum, which include: 1. A feeling of fullness 2. Significant swelling 3. Vomiting 4. Heartburn 5. And of course abdominal pain mainly in the rumen but also in the rest of the abdomen she is also an fmf patient treated with 4 colchicine pills once a day on a daily basis. In the past year we have been diagnosed with celiac disease on the basis of a blood test and a genetic test hla-dq2 and hla-dq8 which came out positive, the lactose test also came out positive, that is, it consumes a diet that does not include lactose and gluten. Previously underwent surgery to remove the appendix. She also suffers from hypothyroidism treated with euthyrox pills on a daily basis, one day a dose of 50 and a daily dose of 100 and so it goes on. The blood test results show that the gland is balanced, but ultrasound of the gland revealed findings: behind the right, a solid hypo-aqua structure was observed again, measuring 8 * 7 * 4 mm, suitable primarily for parathyroid adenoma. Underwent gastroscopy twice which came out normal, abdominal ultrasound examination, which all came out fine with no findings. Most blood tests are normal except for: amylase b = 111 lipase = 81.9 amylase b and lipase these values were released on 26.11.18 and then came out okay, the rest are from the last tests on september 22, 2020. Immunoglobulin = 1800.1 mg igg1 = 1044 mg asca iga = 34.6 asca igg = 57.6 vitamin b12 - greater than 1000 ml although she does not take b12 supplements. Abdominal photo showed, ship bifida s1. On examination by a doctor, only epistemic sensitivity was found. At the same time she is trying to lose weight with a balanced diet monitored by a dietitian, the menu includes between 1200-1300 calories but the weight gets stuck no matter how meticulous it is and also adds sporting activity it fails to lose weight. On the menu for over a year and there is no change in weight with very serious adherence to the menu. Weighs 76.5 and the height is 1.63. She suffers from constipation and takes a liquid magnesium suspension, one tablespoon each evening. The doctor gave her treatment with the following pills: lusk, encyclopaedia, crohn's, cultal, altrolt, nexium, spasmalgin ichtamol on it 14gr. These drugs aggravated the symptoms and did not cause the slightest relief. I would love to hear your opinion, desperate mother.

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you.
It is thought that it can take up to two years for the body to get rid of all uric acid crystals. To prevent gout attacks during this time, low-dose colchicine is often also prescribed for the first six months. That effectively reduces the risk of those kinds of attacks.
Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.
