Also give her drink lots of fluids and fruits rich in vitamin c like mausambi, orange etc which will help come over the infection faster. If her cough does not settle she will need chest x ray to rule out lung infection.

you can use steam inhalation with karvol plus. But consult a pulmonologist / ent surgeon before taking any medication. Avoid taking cough syrups without doctor's advice.
If you get such cough cold frequently you must get checked up to rule out allergic respiratory diseases, asthma, rhinosinusitis. So visit your specialist soon.

see the outcome of the treatment.if it is good then it is ok.if not ICS+laba(budamate) inhalation twice daily to be taken over prolonged period.

If your cough has become better and there is no associated fever or any other symptoms then you can discontinue the medicine and do saline gargles two three times a day also take steam inhalation twice a day I am sure you will be better in a few days.
