If you have cvi there are 3 modalities for therapy, compression stockings of grade iii are a must for a long duration to avoid any swelling, limb elevation and fluid restriction can be helpful, taking anti coagulants as prophylaxis is indicated, however using aspirin and clopidogrel for cvi is not effective, warfarin was earlier prescribed but with safe anti coagulants like xarelto 15 mg od no need for above medications. Yes it is better to stop that drug before surgery. No need to stop the drug if the surgery is done under topical anaesthesia and clear corneal incision for Phacoemulsification.

Yes please continue both clopidogrel and ascard 75 mg. These are blood thinners required lifelong after cabg surgery. If discontinued then the risk of graft blockage is high.

Dear Patient, Increased dosage of Syndopa can increase the blood pressure. Clopilet is for blood thining, so it has nothing to do with BP changes. Since he has been prescribed the same they must be suspecting some atherosclerotic plaque in the carotids supplying brain or heart vessels, resume Clopilet and do not worry.

First you have to meet a Hematologist to find out the cause of low platelet count. Both Deplatt and Aspirin are antiplatelets .He needs further blood work up to ascertain the cause and accordingly he can b given antiplatelets. Alternate day aspirin will not be the answer.

Usually bleeding stops. But take care that the blood clots inside canal should be cleaned. You can clean ear canal with ear bud dipped in betadine liquid.
