I am not sure who got you hooked onto sleeping pills. On a longer run they will shrink your brain, resulting in early onset dementia, personality changes, memory changes, even withdrawal seizures. Kindly consult a psychiatrist, get your stress (not hypertension as you term it) evaluated and get proper medications which are not harmful. The medicine you are taking now is harmful on a longer run. All the best.

Dear , anxiety disorder is a disorder and not a disease. You should understand the eifference between mental disorder and mental disease. Mental diseases are treated with medicines and mental disorders are treated with other holistic methods. I need to have more information so that I can help you wean off the medicines. Online counseling, psychotherapy and life style changes should help you. Post a detailed private question to me. I will help you manage your anxiety disorder. Take care.

go for exercise (aerobics) and yoga (it is slow but it definitely works),
spend 1 hour daily behind exercise and yoga, include green leafy vegetables, eggs, almonds, nuts, oats and pineapples in daily diet. These foods help to increase tryptophan in human body, in turn in is...more

Anxiety and depression oftentimes go together. The weight gain is not surprising some due to the medication, and some due to lower metabolic rate, and low exercise, and emotional eating. There may be genetic influences for diabetes and she must take precautions. There seem to be some psychological problems that need investigation and treatment from a counselor too. I believe there may be some genetic predisposition or there has been some childhood issue, related to anger and fear, that needs urg...more

Hi, Thanks for writing in; welcome to the forum. Zapiz contains clonazepam and it can be addictive - both physically and psychologically. It is not recommended to be take for more than 4-6 weeks. What will happen eventually when you try to stop it is the original anxiety problem plus an additional problem of getting rid off addiction to zapiz. The correct treatment for an anxiety disorder is to treat it with psychotherapy alone or in combination with non-addictive medicines such as SSRIs, TCAs, ...more
