Dear Yasha,
Both clonazepam and etizolam are NOT medicines for OCD. They belong to benzodiazepine group of anxiolytics. You don't gain weight by these medicines, if you maintain the usual diet and exercise schedule.

No sir, it is not at all adviseable to try this medication nor to self-medicate/regulate without doctor's approval. If you are so keen on coming off of this medication and want to improve your health, I suggest that you go for counseling in tandem with he medicines. However, you must be episode-free for at least three years before the doctor will decide on weaning you off of the medication ...more

Dear lybrate-user
so far what you have done is enough to stop it. I don't think that this does will have any adverse effects, and even if you experience anything you can take last dose on sos basis. What you are taking now is pediatric dose that is unlikely to cause any discontinuation effect.

It is not advisable or safe to take medicines like clonazepam without it being specifically prescribed by your doctor or without their supervision. Also, it is not a treatment for anxiety, merely something that provides relief from symptoms for a few hours. If you have anxiety, I would advise meeting a medical practitioner and starting proper treatment.

It may last for 1 - 2 weeks. I will recommend that you reduce or alter any medication only under supervision of your psychiatrist. And consult your psychiatrist if you experience any symptoms after altering the medicine.

Different doctors prescribe different medicines for depression according to their own perception of the situation. Generically the given drugs are apt. But the effect depends on the type and condition of depression. Work with your psychiatrist for cure. Take care.
