With a single cycle use, you can't judge whether clomifene is effective or not. You can try 3-4 cycles. It induces ovulation. You need medical supervision.

Dear lybrate-user ji
your menstrual cycle has to happen regularly and since you are a pcos case, your gyne doc might have prescribed you clofert for getting pregnant. Getting period on 36th day is nothing unusal as you might not be pregnant. Clofert aids in ovulation and can delay the period for some patients. The body is adjusting to the new change. Please do not loose hope and do go to your gynaecologist and discuss.

Well you should visit a gynaecologist as soon as possible as it may be due to hormonal imbalance or may be due to uterine fibroid.

Dear lybrate-user Ji, presently no alternative is available due to ban on the above mentioned combination. But based on your current sugar levels and other details it would be possible to put you on some other drug.
