Asked for female, 16 years old from Ranchi

Had seb dermatitis and doctor gave me clobetasone butyrate and miconazole nitrate .the medicines worked but slowly and I did some research on it and thought to add ketoconazole and salicylic acid lotion for those bumps on head and now I got purging and redness and itching. Please help me out.

Hi. Any medicine containing salicylic acid should only be taken after getting a prescription for it by a certified dermatologist. Avoid using the lotion for now and just use a ketoconazole shampoo for the time being 2-3 times every week. If there is still purging after couple weeks then get yourself checked by a dermatologist or seek an online consultation with us.

My daughter is 2 and half years old and she is having burning sensation while urinating. After checking I found out thr is redness and cuts inside. I put benzalkonium, clobetasone, miconazole and zinc cream and she cried alot. What could be the reason for cuts inside? Use diaper only at night and cleans her after she passes urine every time. Is it due to rainy weather also.

May be due to severe itching. Maintain local hygiene and use that cream or hh zole cream. You can go for a urine re test.

I have fungal acne on my forehead and doctor gave me clobetasone butyrate and miconazole nitrate cream ,it was working good but suddenly I thought to hit a trial to ketoconazole and salicylic acid lotion 2 days of use day and night was worth and suddenly next day I had more bumps in a cluster aside .what should I do. Should I go back to what doctor gave me ?or should I apply lotion for 10 mins and rinse off. And also I have one or two wound like scar which still has blood clots inside.

treatment depends on the grade...Acne or pimples... Due to hormonal changes..Oily skin causes it...Common in adolescent age...May occur in adults also.. Food like Oily foods, ice cream, chocolate and sweets increase it.. Hi lybrate-user, there are so many types of white spots on face and each require different type of medicine. Clobetasone is a steroid so use it wisely on face and only after consult of dermatologist.

Health query I am 26 years old. I have used clobetasone ointment +tretinoin ointment for face for more than 3 years without knowing clobetasone is steroid (wrong doctor advice who said it can be used long term it will not cause any problem) now my skin was de pigmented and my new doctor said its because of clobetasone and she prescribed me aziderm gel and tbis ointment fo use in alternate days. When I searched about aziderm it said it cause skin lightening already my skin is de pigmented will it work or will it make worst. I am really worried as I already believed one doctor and that turned my skin depigmented (my new doctor ruled out that its not vitiligo. Its only because of clobetasone ointment. Will tbis 0.1% work for depigmentation.

Aziderm is also useful in steroid damaged face. It will take some time for skin to recover. The percentage of aziderm also matters. Upto 10% aziderm is good and recommended for steroid damage face. Do not worry. Continue using it.
