Asked for male, 21 years old from Shimla

I had traveller diarrhoea 2 months back. May be it was due to food poisoning in Delhi (I visited it for 3-4 days. I'm from shimla) my other colleagues were relieved by taking norflox. I went irregular in taking dose thus. My diarrhoea started becoming severe. I went to doctor. He prescribed me. Ciplox tz. I used it for 3 days. I was fine. But after 1,2 days I attended a party and had some alcohol. Diarrhea again started. And I started the same antibiotics without consulting doctor for 5 days. Then I was again fine. Then. Oneday I ate little more then usual diet. I started indigestion and acidity. I went to doctor and he prescribed me. Ciplox tz and ranitidine for 5 days. I was again well. The. N again same episode of indigestion occurred when course was over. Then I went to gastroenterologist. He prescribed me. Gutwin for 10 days and Loperamide for 5 days. And all the blood tests and occult blood in stool and tsh ttg. Done. And all was normal. Except increased bilirubin to 2.4. I well after 10 day use of gutwin. Then after 2,3 days. When I started increasing diet to overcome weakness. Similar episodes of indigestion and acidity. This time with vomiting. Happen and diarrhoea again continued. I again went to doctor he. Prescribed me Loperamide. Again for 21 days. But it seems ineffective after 7-10 days. As. Episode of indigestion are happening and diarrhoea is continuing. After each 3-4 days. please briefly explain me. I am also a medical student of 3Rd sem. Also suggest some medicine with reason.

Please Do Stools examination, culture and sensitivity test of stools, hemogram, urine routine, blood sugar levels, thyroid hormone levels Send me report on Lybrate Meanwhile take Tab diarex by Himalaya 2 2 for 10 days Kutjarishta 20 ml twice daily with water for 10 days Reconsult with reports.

Hi doctors, I just got my stool MCS result. It says microscopy: HARD BROWN FORMED STOOL WITHOUT MUCOR OR BLOOD SEEN MICROSCOPY: NO CYST LOVA OF PARASITE SEEN PLUS CELL 3-4 EPITHELIAL CELL + RED BLOOD CELL NIL YIELDED HEAVY GROWTH OF SALMONELLA SPP. AFTER 24 HRS OF incubation AT 37C my doctor prescribed ciprofloxacin a day before yesterday which I started to take yesterday morning. And I just read antibiotics is not a form of treatment. I used to have burning sensation gotten from the previous ciprofloxacin and flagyl I took 4wks ago Please advise me on what to do.

Your reports shows you have typhoid. Ciplox is the desired t/t.your doctor is correct
please folow his advise and complete course of treatment or you will end up as an typhoid carrier for rest of your life.

My father suffered epididymis orchitis due to urine infection last year and due to this his left testicle got painful swollen but it cured in 2-3 months. Now, again right testicle is swollen and sometime he gets fever too. He is taking ciplox tz twice a day. Also he is advised to take urimax 0.4 mg for 6 months since doctor told prostate gland is little enlarged. Kindly advise how much time does it take to heal painful swelling of right testicle. Why did he suffered again? Please provide you valuable suggestion.

uroflowmetry and ultrasound KUB with residual urine
ask him to wear scrotal support
this is due to prostate or stricture
it will take 5-7 days to subside
swelling may take few weeks to subside.

I am 58 years old. I was having a calculus of 4 mm in my bladder. Yesterday it moved out while passing urine. After that I am having severe back and centre stomach pain. And also continues loose motion. I took ciplox tz and lm has stopped. I tested urine and blood but no infection. Two days back I ate barotta and egg curry at night. That didn't get digested. Now the pain is untolerable. The doctor advised to take plenty of oral fluids. Please advise.

Do not use antibiotics indiscriminately. Or conect with local ophthalmologist. However you may use trifla 'phant' to clean wash the eyes. You may make 'phant' at home.
