Believe at age above 60, even systolic blood pressure till 150 is acceptable. Once in a week bp monitoring, mild reduction in salt intake (after monitoring electrolytes balance), and then periodic review with your doctor should help. If you have been using propranolol fro some time, then it is clinical judgement, but pls don't suddenly start it at 80 mg/day, as it can cause sudden fall in blood pressure.

Hello user, happy to help, anxiety and sleeplessness are reflection of some cause behind it, as per my opinion you just consult a good Homoeopathic doctor to get proper relief, plus if you r taking the medicine since long, there is always a side effect, and even you can't stop this medicine immediately, inspite that you just consult good homoeo Dr. and let have proper treatment and simultaneously get ride of the medicine permanently.

Seems like anxiety disorder, consult a psychiatrist rather than neurologist who are the correct speciality to treat the same, as anxiety comes under psychiatric disorders. They will be able to suggest symptom oriented proper medication apart from behavior therapy. All the best.
