you are very right about normal range of tsh levels. At 8.5 milli units/ml, with normal t4, the condition is classified as sub- clinical hypothyroidism. This normally is not treated with any drugs. Just switching on from one medicine to another randomly may not help. Meet your cardiologist, get a complete evaluation done including ecg echo renal doppler, thyroid profile, serum electrolytes, s. Urea, s creatinine. Let him find out the cause for your uncontrolled hypertension and then only can a decision to change medicines can be made.

Your glucose levels appear fairly good. What is the HbA1c%? That would have given a clearer idea about the over all control. BP is high. Ideally it should be 120 to 130 / 70 to 80 mm Hg.
