Hi.
Yes dilzem is safe for females and does not affect her child bearing capacity. However once pregnancy is established it should be changed to some other drug as it is a category c drug for pregnancy.

I presume he underwent prostate surgery for benign enlargement and cancer was detected incidentally. Hopefully an MRI and bone scan was done for staging to confirm that its a localised disease.
