Schizophrenia is a chronic disorder. The drugs needs to be adjusted periodically depending on her improvement and side effects. She is still taking the previous century's drugs. Now a days second generation antipsychotics are available. They are more effective with less side effects. Please consult your doctor without stopping these tablets. Shifting to newer drugs will be done gradually, depending on the need.

They are good medications, but need to be cautiously used in combination considering the drug interactions. There is a chance of valproate causing your tremors, kindly consult your doctor and report the same. If required, doctor will suggest you an alternative medication.

I would suggest you to take your mother to a good psychotherapist. The psychotherapist will help her in getting realisation of her illness so that she would get agree to take her medicine . Along with it he/she will suggest your mother some activities to overcome from her anger.
