Don't use any other drug than paracetamol only.
Common colds are caused by viruses. So antibiotics has no use in it. And antibiotic misuse has become a social problem.
Take paracetamol (500 mg), drink plenty of fluids (ors water), steam inhalation and take rest. If symptoms doesn't subside within 3 days or you have further questions please consult privately.

First get PFT test done to confirm brochial spasm.If spasm confirmed and then get post bronchodialator PFT . If reversiblity confirmed then take some inhaled medicine as adv. by resp. specialist. All expectorant are equalent to plenty of fluid intake.
