She may need some other medicine also if BP is not controlled as it should be. As she is having diabetes and CKD, medicine for hypertension should be selected carefully which is not nephrotoxic.

Just switching on from one medicine to another randomly may not help. Meet your cardiologist, get a complete evaluation done including ecg echo renal doppler, thyroid profile, serum electrolytes, s. Urea, s creatinine. Let him find out the cause for your uncontrolled hypertension and then only can a decision to change medicines can be made.

If the BP is low then Asomex -tm should not be given, but since you have not mentioned the BP value, it will be difficult to determine what are you referring to as low BP. It will be best if you consult your treating doctor and discuss with them so that they can evaluate the BP and decide.
