Sir, My son is 9 years old. His weight is 34 kg. He is suffering from fever since last 5 days. I am giving cefpodoxime 100 twice a day Since Sunday night but till 99 to 100 degree temperature comes at night. So now what will we do. Please reply.

4.2 years old, 20 kg weight, suffering from 102 fever from last night. Currently as per doctor taking Dispersible paracetamol Tablet 250 with Cefpodoxime proxetil tablets Macpod 100 DT He has taken 3 paracetamol and 2 antibiotics But fever is not coming down. Please suggest doctors.

Hello doc my age is 34. I do not have any bad habits. But I have the problem of chronic bronchitis from 10 years. My pulmonologist always suggesting me antibiotics for my cough mucus and chest pain. But those are temporarily working ,last month my doctor suggested pecef 200 mg, telekast n omnacortil20 mg for 1 week. Am k but I want permanent solution for my problem. Can use omnacortil20 mg steroid for a long time? Is it safe? Am totally worried about my problem. Any body please provide permanent solution medically any home remedy?

reduce triggers
do not over eat do not eat after 7 pm
keep stomach a little empty
identify unsuitable foods
reduce dust exposure
drive mobile with full helmet
daily salt gargle steam inhalation
proper inhalers may prevent oral steroids.

Hy. I had unprotected oral sex and protected vaginal sex with a girl known to have reputation of sleeping around with other people. After the incident I got a bit tensed and approached my GP. I have no symptoms. No discharge or anything. Just bit pain while urinating. Its been 12 days of exposure if any. My Gp wants to treat me for gonorrhea n chlamydia together and has prescribed cefpodoxime proxetil 200 and azithromycin 1g to be taken together at one dose. And then continue with cefpodoxime for 1 week. And has told me to get hiv Elisa and vdrl testing after 6 weeks. Just wanted to know if this is the right approach?

Yes it is. You can go for the hiv Elisa after 3 months actually as it won't show up so soon if at all you r infected which I hope you aren't. Don't worry and please follow the medications. If you need a second opinion please seek it at the earliest.
