Asked for female, 37 years old from Gurgaon

My son is 3 & 1/2 years old. He has throat problem since last six months and taken antibiotics (Amoxicillin +Clavulanic Acid) 3 times during this period. Every time he complaints of runny nose sometimes block nose, chest infection, throat pain, enlarged tonsils, tongue papilla enlarged, with high fever. This is repeating frequently almost every 2-3 months. Kindly suggest.

Dear doctor, i’m in africa and since last saturday i’m feeling slight fever cold and cough. I checked my fasting sugar reading 11.9 mmodl. The doc prescribed metform for sugar and flucomol contains paracetamol and clorofernamin. In between had 3 dose amoxicillin and clavulanic acid. A day after I lost my sense of smell. Now i’m with body temperature of 98.3 and warm air comes from mouth and nose and slight burning of eyes.

Quaratine yourself with necessary precautions.
Continue flucomol. Warm saline mouthwash & gargle.
Pl mention your blood glucose f & pp, serum urea, creatinine. Get blood for cbc, hb%, crp done and rt pcr for sars cov 2.
Monitor temperature, respiration rate & pulse rate, spo2 thrice daily.

Respected sir from last two months I have a problem with my left side upper jaw teeth. But suddenly from last month I am suffering with a pain refer from head to teeth. And from last three days I seen that a inflammation occurred in my mouth. And pain remain same.in left side. I am too much worried about that. I had already tried cephodoxime with clavulanic acid antibiotics. But no result is there. I am afraid that is it any cancer formation in my mouth? Because I am a regular smoker.

Hello good day. I was diagnosed with orchitis on my right testicle some weeks ago and was given multiple antibiotics treatment which didn't really work until I was prescribed augmentin (amoxicillin 500 mg and clavulanic acid 125 mg) and this helped as my pains have eased on right testicle. But the problem is some days ago my left testicle has started to ache, not burning pain as the right did, but a dull pain/ache has developed on the left testicle. I'm confused as to why this has happened, could it be a side effect of augmentin? Please help me.

orchitis is the inflammation of testicles which can lead to testicular shrinkage and reduced fertility even if it is treated in acute stage by antibiotics. Hello, I am marin and I am 25 years old male. I am 172 cm and 98 kgs. I got throat pain and fever and my gp prescribed me antibiotic called medoclav (amoxicillin + clavulanic acid). My dose was 3 times daily 1 pill, which is 125 mgs. When I started using it I got diarrhea and on the second day I started probiotic line forte (lactobacillus and bifidobacterium). On the 3rd day I felt better, but then I started feeling pain in my whole belly especially when I press it ot move and also I am feeling pain in my waist and little pain in my testicles. Could the reason be my treatment with the antibiotic and the probiotic or its something totally different? What can be this and what should I do? List of my medication: medoclav (amoxicillin + clavulanic acid) - 3 x 125 mg flavamed (ambroxol hydrochloride) - 3 x 15 mg olint (xylometazoline hydrochloride) 3 times daily ansibell (chlorhexidine dihydrochloride / benzocaine / enoxolone) 5 mg / 4 mg / 3 mg compressed lozenges vitamin c 2 x 500 mg line forte (lactobacillus and bifidobacterium)

Your doctor is treating you properly. Just make sure you are well hydrated and all these symptoms will subside as your gut recolonises with the good probiotics to replace the ones destroyed by the antibiotic co-amoxyclav (medoclav).

My 6 year old son was in high fever and has also developed nausea symptom. He was diagnosed for Acute Tonsillitis by pediatrician and suggested for "clamp Kid forte Dry syrup (Amoxicillin (400 mg) Clavulanic acid (57 mg) )" and Imol (Paracetamol brufen tab). Antibiotic dose is 5 ml 2 times where as imol is as required. After taking 3 dose of antibiotic he started Diarrhoea which is mild in nature. Do we need to give him another medicine to control that.

If the diarrhea is severe he may need a probiotic. If mild nothing. The loose stools will be controlled once the course of antibiotics is complete.

I had uti, and gave urine sample for culture on 13th august. The sample results came on 19th, with sensitivity to few antibiotics, after seeing which doctor prescribed clavam 625 (amoxicillin + clavulanic acid) twice a day for 5 days. After that since last 2-3 days my urinary frequency is 9-10 times per day. Slight burning after antibiotics, but is gone. Urine is clear, and sometimes I go after 1 hr. It's monsoon, I drink around 2.5-3 litres per day, also one glass of milk and tea daily. Sometimes there is a urge to urinate after 30 mins. Is this normal? Blood sugar is normal.

Hi, below are my details - 35 M, Job Type- Sitting Job, Computers, No consumption of alcohol, tobacco, cigarette, consumes around only 2 lt of water daily, allergic to dust which makes me sneeze badly if inhaled, acidity is another problem. Since around 6-7 years my throat became very sensitive to chilled water, cold drinks, ice-creams, frequent lemonade, sugar syrup based sweets like Bengali sweets, chocolates in night. After consuming these mostly I will get sore throat followed by fever if not treated on Day 1 itself. Have tried allopathy (combination of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid / Azithromycin/ cetirizine) and homeopathy but it gives only temporary cure. home Doctor examined and told that I have few "diane" in my throat which I can also feel if I touch it with my tongue. Please help my by suggesting any permanent solution of it so that I can freely consume everything.

I cannot understand your word"Diane". Please clarify it. You can do warm salt water gargling of mouth , 3 times per day. Avoid all the things you have said. Avoid fan, AC, cold breeze, heavy traffic, perfumes, smoke due to any source.You need allergy testing, to diagnose the problem, so that you can have long relief., for which you need to consult me online with more details. My grand child aged 2 years, was having slight suffocation in breathing after recovered from viral fever. For the control of fever he was given amoxicillin +Clavulanic acid dry syrup. Slight suffocation at times (kurukal in malayalam language )observed after the recovery of fever which persisted for about a month. Then again consulted with the same Doctor and prescribed, levocetirizine Hydrochloride syrup, Ambroxol Hydrochloride and salbutamol Syrup, Prednisolone Sodium Phosphate solution (5 mg/5 ml 2 times, Montelukast 4 mg tablet etc. I would like to know whether Prednisolone Sodium Phosphate solution (5 mg/5 ml 2 times) is required for this slight difficulty (kurukal) in breathing. I would also like to know, whether this steroid drug will affect the growth of the child or precipitate any hidden diabetic issue. Kindly answer to doubt.
