lybrate-user, Thanks for the query
In a diabetic patient it is absolutely essential to get blood glucose levels in strict control. Because uncontrolled diabetes affects all the vital organs including kidneys. Since she is diabetic, it is necessary to maintain fasting glucose closer to 100 mg, PP 160 to 170 mg & HbA1c% <7. That will help Her electrolyte levels are with in normal limnit, there is no reason to worry. Thanks.

Dear Labrate user, you are suffering from productive cough and taking cough syrup given by the chemist. Firstly if this cough is of short duration 3-4 day and not associated with fever and other symptom then it's ok. Otherwise you need thorough checkup.

I would suggest only one thing- don't read too much into the reports! The chloride levels are very dynamic and highly unstable. They are also affected hugely by lab reagents in monitoring and as such carry no significance in our day-to-day patient evaluation. Please relax!

Mr. Lybrate-user, thanks for the query.
Tablet obimet contains metformin. Whereas vildagliptin is a different compound. These drugs are usaully combined together. But whether to to one or both depends on the glucose levels, hba1c%, I can not answer without all the necessary details. Thanks.
