Hello, Very difficult to say that one is better than the other drug because both piroxicam and diclofenac have almost similar efficiency with respect to pain reduction. Piroxicam has slightly better acceptance due to lesser gastritis. Otherwise all other side effects are similar.

Upto 70 percent chance it will pass. No need to take oflox if you are not having fever. Drink 3-4 lit water daily. You can wait till 3 weeks if not having severe pain or fever, if it does not pass then you may require ct scan and further appropriate management.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
Some patients may develop swelling in lower limbs due to retention of water and sodium following intake of certain NSAIDs like diclofenac. It could be due to not tolerating that drug. So it is better she avoids it. First thing is stop the drug and if needed some antihistaminic may be used. Swelling will go away after stopping the drug. Henceforth, she should avoid using that compound again. Thanks.
