I am 26. I chewed gutkha and tobacco for 3 years but not consistently. I developed oral submucous fibrosis. Their are many whitish fibrous bands in my mouth and soft palate. My mouth opening is good and I already met ENT doctor many times and he said nothing to worry about. But the biggest problem is that I develop consistent mouth ulcers even I didn't chew gutkha right now. Doctor told me Whatever damage is done to my mouth will remain permanent but you should quit tobacco and I did the same thing as doctor said. But I'm getting mouth ulcers consistently and Whenever I eat anything it hurts my mouth due to trauma. My ENT specialist gave me Lycopene Tablets and knee cort paste. I am currently using l paste but Still I keep getting mouth ulcers. This is my problem since one 3 month. My mouth opening is good but most part of my inner mouth is damaged. I don't even posses the courage to watch my mouth in mirror. Although my ENT doctor said nothing to worry about and I'm just 26 but I've heard that oral submucous fibrosis has a risk of developing into cancer even after quitting tobacco. I'll be glad if you tell me the chances of getting cancer as I already stopped taking gutkha and tobacco products and How long it will take my mouth to heal completely since mouth ulcer is my problem since more than a 3 month.

Whatever you ent doctor said is correct. My advice is you stop taking tobacco products. Always try to open widely your mouth in the morning. Treatment of oral submucous fibrosis consist of medical treatment, injectiion of medicine into lesion and surgical treatment. Depending on the grade of lesion. You can cosult a dental surgeon practising oral surgery or oral medicine. They can easily manage your problem. Most important is stop tobacco. To prevent cancer. Thanks.

I am 33 year old women into my 35th week of pregnancy. I have been going through routine ante-natal check-ups twice a month so far. Every-thing seems to be fine. Have also gone through all required ultrasound including a doppler that was perfectly ok. I have been on very good diet all through my pregnancy. Have been regularly taking calcium and iron apart from few tablets of lycopene. Have also been munching on dry fruits such as apricot, fig, and almonds. Fruits like apple, banana, and pomegranate are regular. Also taking milk regularly. Weight gain is also normal. I have gained 10 kg so far during pregnancy. My query is regarding the hemoglobin level that has dropped recently. The hb level was 12.2 just before the conception. When I got it checked in 27th week it was 10. 4. In the 20th week it came down to 9.4. When I visited the gynecologist, she asked to take three mycovit plus injection (one every third day). After the 1st injection, I got the hb checked, it came at the level of 10.6. I took all the three injections as suggested by the doctor. I thought to get the Hb checked yesterday again. It has come down to 8.6. There is no weakness and fatigue as such. Kindly suggest. Is there any other way to push the hb level up. Blood Sugar level (Both PP and FB) is normal.

Now a days hiv tests are more accurate and should be conclusive especially after 80 days of exposure. If it is negative it means you are hiv negative. Let's have a detailed discussion for better advice and healthy lifestyle.

Yes you can take all of them if you can afford them. But, starting from coq10 and all the other supplements that you mentioned, none of them have been proven scientifically to be of any practical use in humans. If at all, they will make only a miniscule difference to overall health. Finally, you can use them but never at the expense of the important medications such as ecosprin. Many people with this sort of fear start thinking irrationally and end up taking supplements and stopping medications ...more

This medication is a diet supplement used to prevent and treat low blood levels of carnitine. Carnitine is a substance made in the body from meat and dairy products. Vitamin Bt should not be used to treat serious carnitine deficiency since it can interfere with the body's use of levocarnitine.
