Asked for female, 35 years old from Delhi

Hi, I am 35 weeks+ 1 day pregnant. My bp remains around 120/90-95. My afi was around 7.3 in ultrasound done 3 days ago. It also says nuchal cord around neck loosely. Growth is seen normal with baby's weight around 2300 gms with normal doppler readings. I am taking depin 10 mg twice a day for bp and arg 9 pouch 3 times a day for increasing afi. Can I hope for normal delivery without risk or c-section is the only option. Also, is it necessary to take steroid injection for lungs maturity at 36 weeks. Please suggest.

As you have high BP, it is necessary to deliver the baby by 37 weeks, NOT later than this. If there is no other complications, you may try normal delivery. But there is high chance that you may need emergency C section because of uncontrolled BP or problem in your baby. Emergency C section carries higher risk than planned C section. I am bharath kumar and I am 30 years old and I have been suffering hypertension and igA nephritis as per doctors on august 2015, since then I have received treatment in allopathy for one year and after that I resumed taking only BP tablets (calcigard retard - 20 mg- daily two tablets and arkamin- daily one tablet, metpure XL25- one tablet per day in morning) as I do not want to go for allopathy treatment. Now my blood pressure is 140/95, maintaining it by the above said tablets. Recently there was severe pain besides both sides of the spinal cord in the center of the back, I visited to doctor and told him my history and he advised to take blood report and I took the blood report on 1st week of december 2017 and it showed serum creatinine level of 4.0 and albumin ++++,Doctor advised to visit to a nephrologist, but I do not want to go to allopathy and I request you to guide and help me in curing.

I have recurrent anal fissure. 2 tears since 7 months. Now doctor told that the fissure has healed but I still have burning after bowel movements. There is no spasm. I have been using anobliss cream containing 1.5% lidocaine and 0.3% nifedipine 3 times a day since 3 months. And first, my fissure was at 11 O'clock. Now I feel burning at 1'O clock. Doctor says that it is the irritation of anal skin tag and the fissure has healed. But why am I still having pain? Also is it safe to use anobliss cream for long duration?

I have hypertension from last 3 years. I take nifedipine 10 mg once a day my blood pressure mostly normal some time rises to 150/100. Also I take homeopathy medicine to maintain my bp normal. My creatinine is stable at 1.6 from last one year before that I was taking only allopathic medicine and bunch of medicine and my creatinine rose to 2.1 from that time I selected homeopathy and feeling better than before. However my question is about the ramadan fast. How it will effect my health is it beneficial for me or is there any risk or is there any precaution steps which I should do so that I can manage my health and fast both. Thanks.

If you are a diabetic, you need to consult dietecian and diabetologist for plan to control sugar. If only hypertensive and kidney problem, then make sure you take adequate water along with regular monitoring of bp and it's control to prevent worsening of you kidney problem.

My mother age =65 yrs, weight - 109 kg. Lvef 35%. One day bp increased and she fallen down. But she does not remember what happened .our doctor have blood and urine reports. Blood urea is 72, sr. Creatinine=2.29.and usg ap report says kidneys are normal but 5 mm diameter calculus is seen in right kidney. But our doctor says nothing to worry as stone is very small. Dr. has given medicine nifedipine xl 30, torsemide10, moxonidine0.3 ,aztor asp 75, rabicip d and zincoderm tablet. Are medicine right? Can these medicine help .please give me opinion or suggest change.

These are appropriate medicines, you do not have to worry about 5 mm stones.

I am having bp 150/95. With drugs nebivolol 5 once. Nifedipine 20 twice daily. After taking drugs bp comes down to 130/90. My creatinine level is 1.3/1.4. If I walk for 1/2 to 1 hour I have swelling in hand &limbs. I also have higher cholesterol level. Please suggests a suitable drugs which would keep my bp down to normal & creatinine levels down. Also suggests about stem cell therapy for the above problem. I am even having problem of ED. Is it due to the bp drugs. Thank u.

I got fissure in march and consult physician taken medicines but not cured. After 2 months consult surgeon and he told me that required spinchtroctomy and given a cream nifedipine and lidocaine cream. I'm not ready for surgery and used this cream and after couple of weeks I didn't get any pain or blood loss. So I thanked that fissure may be healed. Yesterday I saw blood on the stool and after passing stool also blood is coming drop by drop. What should I do? Can I go for surgery. Is there any side effects of surgery. Any alternatives to surgery? I'm strictly following diet rules and drinking lot of water but no use.

My wife had a c- section earlier this month, my baby died due to hypo plastic left heart syndrome. My wife has diabetes and blood pressure problem for last 4 years. Earlier this year her creatinine was below 1.5 but in this month after c section her creatinine became 2 and within 2 weeks it became 3. Her bp also very high. Currently taking nifedipine sr 2omg in the morning and night and prazosin 5 mg three times a day. Can it be cured?

The creatinine value of 3 is quite high and it seems she is having CKD (chronic kidney disease, the cause being diabetes and hypertension.
The renal disease may have been aggravated by pregnancy.
It's important to take the opinion of a nephrologist. The progress of the renal disease can be impaired if you have tight control of blood sugar and hypertension.
Dietary modification, weight reduction, and optimal sugar and hypertension control may help you. Best wishes.

Good morning Dr. I am a 43 years old african american woman with a personal hx of htn (i had a seizure last year last year, due to sleep deprivation and stress. My neurologist has me taking keppra 500 mg bid. I haven’t had any additional seizures). I also have a personal hx of high cholesterol and my pcp has me taking the following meds: losartan, carvedilol, folic acid and nifedipine. My question: would I be a good candidate for drinking nettle tea? I am originally from the island national of haiti and often use herbal medicine/ remedies to treat and my previously mentioned conditions. Any feedback that you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I of course plan to discuss this with my medical providers before taking it but I wanted to get your professional opinion. Any information that you provide would be greatly appreciated.

My age 35, male. I have anal fissure problem since two months. I have used pilex tab & pilex forte ointment, but not cured anal fissure. My anal muscles (sphincter) very tight & outside anal muscles swelling there. Swelling not decreasing. Pain while going to washroom. How can I relax anal muscles (sphincter) (means loose anal muscles) present I am in africa. I have ointment cream gel (diltiazem hydrochloride 2 % w/w) escot cream (nifedipine & lidocaine cream) diltigesic organogel (diltiazem 2 % organogel) in this above ointment cream, which one relax anal (sphincter) muscles & reduce swelling how can I use this cream, can I put cream only outside anal muscles or even inside anal area can I put within how many days, can I cure swelling & relax anal muscles please answer fast thanks & regards waiting for your reply.

Hello... nefedipine + lidocaine combo is good..
use it thrice a day. Apply it all around with your finger and also push a bit inside with your finger. Do warm sits baths for 10 minutes before applying it.
Also avoid constipation..
