Dear Lybrateuser,
- The level should increase with the treatment but along with it you also have to consume a diet rich in vitamin d, foods like eggs, enriched milk & dairy products, orange juice, soy products & cereals, non veg if you have which is rich in vitamin d
- the best source of vit d3 is exposure to natural sunlight for 15-20 min between 9 am to 2 pm daily.

Get bone density checked by DXA scan. Don't rely on cheap BMD scans. And vitamin D3 deficiency. U can take capsules also. Nothing wrong in taking injection. But if you do not want pricks take cap. Uprise D3 60k once a week for 10 weeks. And then once monthly for 6 months. Along with calcium supplements.

Hi lybrate-user
from the information you have provided I could only understand that you are worried for your kids' health and have started vit d syrup.
However you have not mentioned any vit d testing been done or your kids having any symptoms.
Please review back with vit d reports and your kids' symptoms.

The most accurate way to measure how much vitamin D is in your body is the 25-hydroxy vitamin D blood test. A level of 20 nanograms/milliliter to 50 ng/mL is considered adequate for healthy people. A level less than 12 ng/mL indicates vitamin D deficiency.
You need to take correct the deficiency by injection as you are advised.
