You may take calcirol once in a week with water in empty stomach. Don't lie down after this for half an hour. If you suffer from acidity this may cause discomfort and burning sensation in your stomach.
Gemcal dose will be one cap twice a day. You may take these for next three months thereafter you repeat test for serum vit. D3 level. You need not check serum calcium. Have plenty of milk and diary product which contains lot of calcium and alsonyou should have sandoz calcium tablet onendaily as a suplimentarybdiet lac of calcium causes osteoarthritis osteoporosis of bones. Have balanced diet of fat protein and carbohydrates. Have plenty of water by mouth.

Calcium supplement can be taken either in the morning or evening.
Check the type of calcium you are taking. If it's calcium citrate, with or without food is ok. If it's calcium carbonate, take it with food.
Dose is usually 500 to 1000 mg. If you are eating a balanced diet rich in calcium, then supplements are not required.
