You need to take a combination of bisphosphonates, vitamin d3, calcium and vitamin b12, as well as increase water & protein intake. In combination with regular walks, your t-scores will improve over time (2-3 years). Cheers.

Hello,

You should avoid this combination as you should get calcium from curds too.
People who eat paan regularly are use to or addicted to this hence body doesn't show any side effect.

Hello lybrate-user. Sorry to hear about your problem. Calcium is freely available over the counter with most of the pharmacists. Osteoporosis is very common in post menopausal age group. Along with calcium a good/ balanced diet, rich in proteins and regular physical activity/ exercise is essential. For further advise please message me directly of consult a doctor for prescription.

Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day.
Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain.

Lack of sleep is not a symptom of excess vitamin d, on the contrary, it causes tiredness. You should only consider supplementation if you have been diagnosed with low vitamin d level in blood or osteoporosis. Excess vitamin d will accumulate in body fat an can cause toxicity long after you have stopped taking it. It is advisable to take the supplementations only on advice of a doctor. You shouldn't stop drinking milk as it doesn't overdose you with calcium. It has healthy amount of protein, vita...more
