Hello, as per latest guidelines the dose for budesonide recommended for covid 19 is 800 mcg twice a day. If you have 100 mcg capsule, then its difficult to take 8 capsules at a time. Kindly arrange by requesting your pharmacist or re-visit your treating physician for alrternatives. Take care.

As you are suffering from asthma, get yourself investigated, specially a PFT test PFTshould be done to know the severity of asthma. As asthma is inflamatory disorder of airways, you need to take combination of formetrol and budesonide by inhalation.you may have to take medicine for a long time.Kindly discontinue allegra if not having running nose, sneezing or nasal block.

What is your age, smoking status, complaints. Is it asthma or COPD. Both are different problems with different solutions. Moreover there is no specific food restriction for asthma/ allergy. Every individual will have different allergies. So take fresh milk/ yogurt.
If you are properly diagnosed with asthma/ COPD take proper inhalers( Controllers LIke formeterol/budesonide or solmeterol/fluticosone) and keep some relievers like salbutomol with or without ipratropium for emergency purpose.

The best and safest way to getting rid of your asthma is not formoteral fumerate budesonide inhaler, go and try homeopathy which will cure from the suffering were as inhaler are just bronchi dilators which primary action is bronchi dilators but secondary action it leads to severe bronchi constriction which led to again severe aggravation of your problems.

Dear lybrate user, inhalation route of drug administration is very effective with minimal side effects when compared with oral/tablet mode of medication. Majority of asthma patients uses two types of drugs. Drugs which dilates airway (broncho dilators like salbutamol) & inflammation stoppers (steroids like budesonide). Side effects are very minimal. If you r using a steroid please wash your mouth with water after inhalation of the drug.
