Hello.
To answer your 2 different concerns pl (without knowing why you have been prescribed budesonide for lung? Long term or short term use?).
Budesonide and arvs- since you are using darunavir/ritonavir combo along with budesonide, it would be advisable to avoid budesonide use as its level may get increased, be it in any form, inhaler or spray, by ritonavir.
The preferred alternative is beclamethasone.

If your child is not having difficulty in breathing then you can just use nasal saline drops. This will resolve the congestion and swelling in the respiratory tract leading to decrease in respiratory sounds.
It is advisable to not increase the dosage of budesonide from twice to thrice.
If needed any other anti allergic medicines can be added or long acting medicines can be given which needs to be given only once.
Contact your pediatrician for better understanding.

Dear Mr. lybrate-user, budesonide is a steroid and to be used very cautiously. It cannot be taken in steam form. It is either used an inhaler/ nebulizer/ oral tablet or as an injection. Not all covid patients need steroids. They can as easily cause more damage and therefore best leave this decision to your doctor / pulmonologist who is treating you for covid symptoms.
Best wishes.

If patient is asthmatic and the above drug could control her symptoms before pregnancy, then there is no harm if the drug is continued. But if patient is not asthmatic, it's better to go for other drugs.
