Keep the child well hydrated by adequate replacement of lost fluid by WHO recommended ORS and routine home diet with little added salt.If child is taking breast feeds continue with that. And wait patiently unless he is dehydrated( In that case visit hospital he might need IV fluids). It takes time to get well.Hope this helps

The approximate daily dose of vit. D for children between is 600 i.u. Since vit d is fat soluble vitamin and gets stored in body. Proper dosage is to be decided by child specialist after proper examination. Normally children are given vit d in the form of oral drops. Sachets of 60,000 iu are given in adults after finding vit d levels in the blood. And only if found necessary.
