Abdominal cramps are fairly common in new runners.
To prevent it make sure you eat light before you start running so that there is plenty of room for breathing.
There should be a gap of 2-3 hr between meal and running.
Breathe deeply from the base of your lungs.
Avoid getting nervous because it makes you breathe shallow.
