Hello-
Betamethasone is a steroid. It makes skin retractable one time during the use but makes it thicker and even tighter once you stop using it, so doctors recommend circumcision for Phimosis in allopathy. It is not a good option for you, as it is not a cure.

Now stop using betnovate cream. It should not be applied to the face as it causes many side-effects on the face. Initially your face seems to be fair. Then slowly the pigmentation starts. Your skin on the face becomes thinner and you feel burning sensation wenevr your exposed to sun. And there chances to hair growth seen on your face too. For further treatment, consult me thru online.

Yes,The initial choice of treatment is a steroid ointment that is locally applied. (This can be suggested by a doctor after you are examined in person.)The ointment softens the foreskin and is applied for up to 6 weeks. When full retraction is possible the ointment is stopped.

If this treatment is unsuccessful, a circumcision (surgical removal of foreskin) is advised.
