Hello.

By the description you have given, it seems to be an allergic reaction which is bothering you.

Apply homoeopathic ointment - Topi Azadirachta as well as Calamine lotion over the affected area.

Hello-
you are suffering from steroid induced phimosis" phimosis" is the technical term for an un-retractable foreskin. An acute case of phimosis may create problems for the person when he would want to pass urine or to perform sex, as this action may either be restricted or become troublesome. This is when phimosis becomes a medical emergency. It has been linked with an increased risk of infection, loss of sexual stimulation of the penis and even penis cancer.

Hi, Let me brief you about the situation, I have tight foreskin on my penis, I cannot retract the foreskin all the way when I have an erection. I can pull the foreskin back when my penis is not erect. I believe a small part of the foreskin has to be attached at the bottom of the penis so I don't know if that attachment is stopping me to retract the skin all the way. But any way after I got the answer I was told to apply a Betamethasone cream 0.05%. So now the problem is I bought a cream name "Diprovate plus" which is composed of Betamethasone Dipropionate IP equivalent to Betamethasone 0.05% w/w and Zinc sulphate IP 0.50% w/w. I believe you guys know all about the cream but I just wanted to be 100% sure that it won't harm my penis in any manner. As we all know we don't have any spare one to use if something had to happen to this one. So can anyone please tell me if its okay to apply the cream to my penis, is there anything I need to worry about, if I can apply it how do I apply, where to apply, what happens if I accidentally apply it on the head of the penis. How many times do I apply the cream and when? I don't know if I asked everything but if you think I missed anything please let me know everything about it so that I can go ahead and start using the cream! Thank you in advance.

If you have any cuts or small injury on your penis then wait until it gets fully healed.

Just apply a little bit of the cream at the point where your foreskin is attached at the bottom of penis & follow the instructions which you got in your previous message

Stop betamethasone before it causes side effects. You may be suffering from tinea cruris which is fungal infection of the inner thighs, groin and buttocks area. It is also called jock itch. It can be treated by taking four to six weeks of anti fungal treatment which includes tablets along with creams. Do not use soap over that area. Mistreatment with over the counter steroid containing creams like fourderm, panderm, quadriderm, dermi5, betnovate, dermikem oc, candid b etc lead to repeated case o...more

Dear lybrate-user, neither of the creams are recommended for fungus or seb dermatitis. Betnovate is a steroid containing cream that has the tendency to flare the fungal infection. There are various kinds of fungal infections, that need to be assesses before prescribing treatment. A walk in or tele consultation with a dermatologist should help you to reach proper diagnosis and subsequent treatment.
Thanks.

Dear Lybrate User,
You may be suffering from a clinical condition called PHIMOSIS. The most conventional method to get rid of it is surgery.

However, if you are unwilling to undergo surgery then you can try the following process at home.

1) Buy Betamethasone cream from local allopathic shop. During buying you should check the composition of the cream to confirm whether it contains 0.05% Betamethasone in it. If you cannot find 0.05% Betamethasone cream then you can buy any l...more

Both steroid as well as salicylic acid in betnovate will cause harm to delicate skin of baby.
So kindly don't apply.
Instead use olive oil.
