I am sure you docote would have taken all the factors into consideration before prescribing verbet. Incase you wish to get a second opinion for the diagnosis and management of your father's vertigo, you can always reach out to us for a thorough consultation. Dear doctor, This is my medical history. In year 2012, my creatine level increased suddenly up to 7.0. At that time urine flow also stopped. Doctors diagnosed that urine flow block is reason and BNI (Bladder Ncek incision) surgery done. With that urine flow problem solved and creatine level gradually came down to 3.0. It is maintained at this level till now. Every three months I am consulting nephrologist. As per his suggestion, I am using following medicines. Statics 10 mg one at night and nephro caps capsule one at night. Four months back I felt sudden occasional giddiness in brain, as if some thing was happening / flowing in it. I consulted physician He found my BP increased to 158 and recommended cilnidipine- 10 mg once a day at bed time, prolomet xl 25 mg - one in morning. Even with BP medicine BP controlled, giddiness didn't reduce. CAT scan and ECG were done and report found normal. I consulted neurologist. He prescribed zevert PVG tablets - 2 times a day and petril beta 20 tablets daily once before bed. As per his advice, I used Zevert for 20 days and petril for 40 days along with BP medicines. No my giddiness problem is almost solved. When I get occasional doubt, I am using zevert PVG tablets - 1 times a day and petril beta 20 tablets for 2 to 3 days. Currently medicines used by me, as per nephrologist advice are Prolomet xl 25 mg - 1 in morning Cilnidipine- 10 mg - 1 at night bed time Statics - 10 mg - 1 at night bed time Nephrocaps - 1 daily My query - I have a 11 year boy. For last, five years, I am dependent on viewing of soft porn movies and masturbation only for sexual satisfaction. Now a days, after masturbation, I am feeling as if some thing flowing in my body, feeling of lightness in my heart. I am getting a sense of fear, nervousness at that time. Is it because of any BP fluctuation at that time? Can I continue masturbation in this condition or I should stop. I need your kind advice.

Hello lybrate-user. Your vertigo first needs to be classified and categorized. Depending upon the cause and diagnosis, a lot of physical maneuvers could help you get rid off your dependence on drugs. It would also give you a long term relief. Let us know if we can help you.

I am 56 years old and do lot of work on computer/laptop. I started feeling slight giddiness once in a day or 2 in the evening hours after full days work. We have got a family history of vertigo (father, sister etc.). I used Vertin 8 mg twice a day. I feel quite relieved and sometimes again I feel the same. Secondly I am also doing neck exercises as prescribed in You Tube. Please suggest remedies how can I get rid of this problem. Since, I am an official connected with computer desk job I can not do away with this. This giddiness remains for less than a minute or so, when I need to catch hold of some thing to avoid loosing stability. No heart beat increases during this period. I do not have sugar, BP or any such issues except nasal allergies, which are also quite under control. I addressed a gathering for about 2 hours yesterday, on power point, after that I started feeling like sitting and could not stand comfortably. Please guide me how long can I use Vertin (betahistine 8 mg). Recently I got medical check up done, which was almost normal but slight marginal increases in triglyceride levels (270) and low D vitamin (14) for which I am using medicines like Rosuvas 5 mg and Nurokind D3 (1000 ug D vitamin) Best wishes.

Dear Sir
there are multiple risk factors in your case which can predispose you to vertigo. Firstly your age. Second and maybe the most important, your sedentary work style with long hours spent watching the computer screen. This posture leads to cervical problems which can lead to transient vertigo. The presence of abnormal lipid profile may also contribute in the form of arteriosclerosis (thickening of arteries). Kindly consult a neurologist to check for cervical spine and carotid vascular ...more

Sure. Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo needs to be ruled out with a specific test. If positive, it is treatable with a few sittings of a special manuovuer.

Dear lybrate-user, relax and calm down. Taking just vertin is not going to solve anything. You need to be put on a strict diet control protocol. There are of course more medications needed. Please therefore consult a good ent specialist so that a proper vestibular balance therapy may be initiated. Sincerely.dr.
