Dear lybrate-user your father is a diabetic and having burning sensation in tongue. As the blood sugar level is controlled. Get it regularly checked and let him avoid tobacco and smoke and spicy foods. Let him drink plenty of water and give him cap becosule and folic acid. Apply glycerine on tongue and sometime ointment benzocaine on tongue.

Put a cold, damp towel on your skin. Do this for 10 or 15 minutes a few times every day. That will help take some of the heat out of your skin. You also can take frequent cool baths or showers to help relieve the pain. As soon as you get out of the bathtub or shower, gently pat yourself dry, but leave a little water on your skin. Then, apply a moisturizer to help trap the water in your skin. This will help ease the dryness.

Hi lybrate-user. First of all as a home remedy you can use luke warm saline rinses 3 to 4 times a day. Use a benzocaine gel and apply it over the affected side gums so tha you could eat. Lastly the reason for oain during erruption can be a lack of space in your jaw baone for the erruoting tooth. So I wud advice you to visit your dentist for a clinical examinal and have a radiograph of the affected tooh so that he could give you a more clear insight of the problem.
