Sir I am a diabetic for 12 years. My hba1c is 5.9.fbs 100 and pps 132 (one touch select glucometer) lipid is good. S. Creatinine 0.74.lft and kft is in normal range. On teneligliptin 20 mg, metformin 250 mg, pioglitazone 7.5 my, benidipine 8 my novastat 10 mg and methypreg 75 Mr. The present problem is persistent pain on th upper back, hand fingers and severe knee and foot pain. Please suggest any medicine suitable for me.

Sir should I be concerned of my fasting blood sugar which has some ups and downs. My hba1c is 5.8 but my fasting blood sugar always changing. Which duration is ideal for home testing blood sugar 8 hours or 12 hours. My fbs 128 and pps 153. I am taking teneligliptin 20 mg after breakfast and metformin 250 mg, pioglitazone 7.5 mg, benidipine 8 mg rosuvastatin 5 mg. On diet compliance. Weight 57 kg height 5.11 inch. Whether hba1c or fasting blood sugar important. Please suggest.

Every parameter of blood sugar has its own importance.Fasting blood sugar indicates your calory intake in dinner and its utilization.PP blood sugar suggests your sugar status after 2 hrs of meals.Random blood sugar gives you information about sugar level at that particular time and HbA1c gives you idea about your average blood sugar in last 3 months.

Sir, I am a diabetic for a decade. Hba1c 6.2.lipid, kidney and liver profiles are normal. On novastat 10 mg, teneligliptin 20 mg, benidipine 8 mg, pioglitazone 7.5 mg. My fasting blood sugar 110 and ppg 135. B.p 116/79. For a month I have been suffering from neck mild pain, shoulder and upper back ribs pain and mild knee pain. I went to a cardiologist and ecg is normal. I was on pregabalin but I stopped becoz of edema or swelling as I am taking pioglitazone. Please suggest treatment for pain which I have mentioned. My egfr is normal. Weight 57 kg. Height 5.11.on diet compliance. Brisk walk daily.

It is better to take a consultation with a Dr. as your symptoms may be due to various causes. Fibromyalgia could be one reason.

I was prescribed Beniq 8 mg tablet for hypertension. I am unable to get that medicine and as I was told it must be in short supply or out of stock. So, is Benipack 8 mg the right substitute for being 8 mg? Or if it isn't what should I buy?

Your Dr. probably did not mean BENIQ, just illegible or typo. Benidipine 8 is very similar to amlodipine 5. These medicines are generally preferred for older people.

Hello,
Benipack and inzit both contains the same medication, Benidipine 4 mg which is used to treat hypertension.
Yes you can safely take Inzit instead of Benipack. There are different brand names with same content. Regards.
