My mom has a recurring UTI e. Coli. First occurred in march 2016 treated with nitrofurantoin for 2 months but came back mid may with low grade fever and culture showing e. Coli sensitive to chloramphenicol, amikacin and sporaflxacin and partially sensitive to ampicillin/sulphabactum, tobramycin, augmentin. She has renal impairment with creatinine at 1.64, Urea is normal. She has undergone a heart bypass a year and half ago, is diabetic which is under control with medication and hypertensive also which fluctuates and she is on medication for that as well. This recurring UTI resistant to most antibiotics is worrying and the one's its sensitive to are not recommended because of renal impairment and her history. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

Hello doc 2 months back I have travelled around 200 km from bike and from the very next day. I had severe abdominal pain accompanied by vomiting, bloating ,nausea and diarrhoea then I start taking medications. A lot of medication but none of them was effective except rifaximin 200 mg which I took twice a day for 5 days and it gave me a lot of relief. But after few days of stopping medication symptoms started appearing again. Then I changed my doctor and currently I am taking chloramphenicol 500 mg cefpodoxime 200 mg but these are not proving effective, also my hair start falling.In my ultrasound report there were features of mild ileitis. Its been 2 month now and I am getting depressed. Now should I stick to these tablet or should I go back to rifaximin. And one more thing .Is my disease curable?

I have chronic eczema patches on and around the ankles of both legs and a few small patches below the knee. These developed at the age of 15 when I was on antibiotics for breathing problems and severe sneezing due to dust pollution. I have been applying hydrocortisone cream on these lesions for past over 35 years with no appreciable change. Only a few areas have subsided ad left slightly dark patches. Please advise if any other remedies are required and I any permanent solution to resolve and make these lesions disappear

I am seeing someone new. After an intimate night of making out I woke up to a face, neck, stomach, and chest rash. The bumps are red and not itchy. I have tried aloe and hydrocortisone separately. There is no change after 5 days. Anywhere he kissed has red bumps. He has a beard (not stubble-a full beard) and mustache. It has been 5 days and the areas are still covered in red bumps. Seems to get more red in sunlight or when I sweat.

I have open pores, blackheads,some acne, so I met a dermatologist and My dermatologist suggest me use AE Lano cream which contains hydroquinone tretinoin and hydrocortisone acetate cream and other cream which is keel-rath day which contains clindamycin phosphate and benzoyl peroxide gel And medicines. After using this creams my other side of face where no acne or scars start burning and itching So can I quit this creams or only use in active acne, blackheads,open pores ares.

Hello, I have been having this reoccurring rash on my neck, it comes and goes roughly once a month for a week, then it gradually recedes. This covers the entire circumference of my neck. The rashes get very itchy at night especially & they sting when I sweat. I’ve tested negative for HIV, Hepatitis A, B,C, chlamydia & syphilis. It’s been an ongoing problem for about a year now and I’ve used hydrocortisone, canesten, but they all seem to not be working. Please, I could use some sort of pre diagnosis before I visit my local MD. Thanks.
