Hello pp is high .. need to be controlled.. I suggest you to give him Homeopathic treatment Along with allopathic Medicines. it helps to maintain sugar levels to normal and prevents complications.. once sugar levels are normal slowly we can cut off allopathic medicines.. you can consult me online for Homeopathic treatment..no side effects..

Hello dear Lybrate user, Warm welcome to Lybrate.com

So far as Insulin is concerned, you have to take it anyway without thinking for alterations in homeopathy or other pathy. Can consult in private for all further assistance.
Hope this clears your query. Wishing you fine recovery. Welcome for any further assistance at my pri...more

Hello, thanks for the query.
I have seen the details mentioned. If blood glucose is 400 mg (fasting, pp or random not mentioned) is very high. Are you having t1 diabetes & since when? Looking at your age it appears so. My suggestion is there are excellent diabetes specialists in mumbai and there is raheja diabetes hospital in mahim. So please consult a good expert who can guide you. Mr. Lybrate-user, both the brands contain one part as fast acting insulin and the other part as a loger acting insulin. You can replace one for another, but slight dose adjust mey be needed.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
Both Insulins mentioned are same. Only difference is one has 40 units per ml in the vial. The other has 100 units per ml in the pen. So if you are taking 6 units with 40 u/ml one, then 6 units need to be taken with the pen. You will have to fix the dosage on the pen, it will deliver that quantity only. Thanks.

So, you're currently taking basal bolus with a dpp4-i. For some reason you're the doctor has not put you on metformin or other medications. Your weight is bound to go up since you're on insulin. I'd suggest you to get your blood workup done and visit a nearby diabetologist/endocrinologist to help you better.
