She has "thread worm" it's very chronic problem. 1. Keep her nails cut.
2. Apply soft soap with froth (lifebuoy soap) on her anal area and wash with plain water whenever she complains of intense itching.
3. Give her albendazole and ivermectin combination (bandy plus suspension). 10 ml at bed time and repeat after 15 days.
(this is one dose.)
this should continued every 6 months for 2 years. Ie. 4 times in 2 years.

Ivermectin has been assigned to pregnancy category c by the fda. Animal studies have revealed evidence of teratogenicity, but at doses that were also maternotoxic to the pregnant female. The manufacturer considers ivermectin contraindicated during pregnancy.

Hello,
Ivermectin is a pregnancy category c drug and not to be taken during pregnancy but now as has been taken already and you are in your 3 rd trimester , it should not be affecting the foetus.

Some time not proper use of permethrin and another measure faliure of treatment 1. Daily bath with medicated soap like detol etc 2. Treat family member and daily close contact person 3. Clean all linen, bed, cloth and other thing of contact with dry sun exposure
4 permethrin require 10 hrs contact period on body so bettter use at night after taking bath
5. Use ivermectin weekly is better.

No, it is not harmful. It is beneficial for your baby . You should repeat in every six months. Dose is 400 mg single dose for your baby is correct. If baby is having any problem then as advised by your Paediatrician.
