Sorry to know that your mother is in pain, burning sensation could be due to diabetes ,rapid correction of blood sugars or kidney related issues. Please check her body weight, blood pressure and serum creatinine. Muscle pain could be a part of neuropathy and if there is stiffness relaxants like baclofen or tizanidine could help.

Diazepam, is to treat alcohol withdrawal and should not be mixed with her drinks. From your description and her usage of other substances, I suggest that you admit her in a rehabilitation center.
