Hello, I am 60 years old. I have severe itching and burning problem in my fore- skin of my penis which will become intolerable sometimes that too during the night times. I am facing this problem since over 2 years. The skin looks like very normal and I do not have any rashes, boils or redness any thing on the affected area. I am also a diabetic and suffering from hypertension since ten years for which I am on regular medicine. I had consulted few doctors for my itching and burning problems like physicians, a urologist, a dermatologist, and also an internal medicines specialist in various hospitals like sagar, apollo and manipal hospitals. I had gone through few tests including test like psa. The results of all the tests were normal. The medicines prescribed and used are ointments like candid plain, candid gold, betnovate, neosporin etc. And an anti-biotic like linid 600 mg capsules. But the nothing could solve my problem. I am an orthodox brahmin and I never even think of any sexual relations other than my wife. My last sex was with my wife was about 2 years ago. Can any one suggest a good treatment from which I get rid off my problem?

Although physical examination is required but still I would answer. Excess sugar in the blood gets passed in the urine. However, yeast thrives on sugar and is more likely to grow on the penis of a man with diabetes. Symptoms of genital thrush include: redness, swelling, and itching around the head of the penis. Diabetes can make balanitis more likely, especially if the blood sugar is poorly controlled. High blood sugar causes elevated amounts of sugar in the urine. Sugar-rich urine that dribbles...more

There must be some local infection or abrasions and swelling because of excessive dryness apply neosporin cream twice a day and avoid touching your nose.

You can apply betadine cream if it's a clean cut but if it is infected then after cleaning you apply neosporin cream.

For the past 2 weeks I was having itching in my scrotal skins and base of my penis. And 4 days earlier I have discovered that I have developed some peeling of skin in some areas in my scrotum and penis base. Its very small although but seems like new skin has emerged and the new one is somewhat like light red. Its like my old dark scrotal and penile skin are no more in those specific areas. I have visited a dermatologist and he said its nothing serious and its due to something I am worried about too much. He gave me momate cream and coconut oil for genitals. He said its not looking like any fungal or bacterial infection. I have not applied the momate cream cause I have heard it can reactivate tuberculosis cause I had pleural tb earlier nad recovered frm it few months back. Now I am worried. Its very uncomfortable wen the pant is getting rubbed at those spots. Its itching also. And those places where it seems like dat my old skin is no more and the skin has got peeled off. Whats happening? I have neosporin powder at those spots. those spots itches specially during my sleep most of the times. I am worried. Is it something serious? Well I had oral sex with my girlfriend few days back and she was having a sort infection in her groin areas and my penis and scrotal has touched those places. I even tried to penetrate her but she stopped me. We had been physical many times earlier also. But at that time she was having a infection? Is it due to that? Please help me.
